Open the My Computer icon (normally located on the desktop or the top right hand side of the start menu) and locate the drive labeled GRHANITE which is shown as drive E:\ in our example below Open this drive and run the file called Setup.exe located on the root of the drive and you should be presented with a screen similar to the one below (Fig1) Fig1 Click Next on this screen and you will be taken to the license agreement screen which you much accept if you want to install the software. The installer will now check that you have all the prerequisite software installed on the machine that GRHANITE requires to function correctly. Anything missing from your machine will automatically be installed at this point, meaning that you may now see other installation instances running on your machine. If Visual J# was not installed on your machine you will be presented with the screen shown in Fig2 below. Please click Next and then agree to the terms of the License Agreement and click Install. Once you are informed that setup is complete click Finish. Please be advised that installing the prerequisite programs may take a few minutes to complete. Fig2 You will now be offered the chance to change where the GRHANITE software is installed onto your machine, though the leaving the default value here is recommended. Once happy with the location, click on Install As shown in Fig3 above, you will now be prompted for the password of your site license file. This will have already been provided to you in your initial paperwork. Depending on what database technologies are used at a specific site,GRHANITE may promt you for additional information such as database username and passwords required to give GRHANITE access to the clinical information.
