Our Mission
Although Australia has a strong tradition of medical research, many questions remain unanswered. Whilst there are large databases and resources available to support research involving large organisations, smaller community provided health services for example primary care and rural health services are underrepresented.
There are some tools that allow the aggregation of data from primary care but no tool is available to support large-scale record-linked research spanning technologies and the primary / secondary care divide.
Our GRHANITE™ mission is to rectify this situation whilst protecting the rights of the individual, health providers and health organisations.
In addressing this need we hope to support health practice, health surveillance activities and to promote better access to Health Services.
We have a special interest in ensuring issues surrounding rural and deprived communities are addressed.

GRHANITE™ Hashed Record Linkage has now been comprehensively trialled with BioGrid Australia.
Without exposing person-identity, GRHANITE™ Hashed Record Linkage is able to routinely link data with equivalent and sometimes better sensitivity and specificity to person-identifiable linkage schemes.
